Project Description
The “A Great Sufi: Kenan Rifâî International Symposium”, organized by the Kenan Culture Foundation, the Üsküdar University Institute of Sufism Studies, the KAF Intercultural Exchange Forum, the Kerim Education, Culture and Health Foundation, and the Kenan Center for Turkish Culture Studies, was held on 5 June 2026 in Plovdiv.
The program featured a documentary screening on the life of Kenan Rifâî and a poetry recital by Asuman Kulaksız, M.D. Following the opening and protocol speeches, the opening conferences were held. The symposium was supported by the Kyoto University Kenan Rifâî Center for Sufism Studies, the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Culture House, the TÜRKKAD Istanbul Branch, the Cenan Education, Culture and Health Foundation, and the Nef Foundation Kenan Rifâî International Center for Sufism Studies.
