Project Description
The public portion of our Summer Education Program was held on Saturday, 26 July, at the U.U. Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall. The opening speeches were delivered by Advisor to the Rector Cemalnur Sargut and Founding Rector, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan. As part of the program, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç gave a conference titled “The Human Being, Sufi Thought and Healing.”
Two panels were held, consisting of papers by students who graduated from the doctoral and master’s programs of the U.U. Institute of Sufi Studies. The program concluded with a mini concert featuring Elif Ömürlü Uyar, Prof. Dr. Sevda Asqarova, Ahmed Şahin and Prof. Dr. V. Emre Ömürlü as soloists.
