Within the scope of Üsküdar University Institute of Sufi Studies, Sufi Culture and Literature Master’s Program, TSV558 Sufism and History of Religions course will be taught by Prof. Dr. Bruce Lawrence in the current 2017-2018 Spring Term. Simultaneous interpretation is available during all lectures. The course will be held on a condensed timetable from April 3-16, 2018. Prof. Lawrence will give three public lectures during his stay.
Graduate students from all universities will be able to take the course for credit
TSV558 Sufism and History of Religions course can be taken as a 3-credit (6 ECTS) elective course by graduate students of all universities.
Students who wish to take the course from other Institutes of Üsküdar University should apply to the Institute of Sufi Studies with a petition. No fee will be paid.
Access to courses via the internet within the scope of the Distance Education Program
TSV558 Sufism and History of Religions course is also structured as a distance education program. Thus, courses can be followed by all interested parties without the requirement of being a student. The lectures will be broadcast live, and the lecture recordings will be available for later viewing in the form of videos from the virtual classroom system. Distance Education participants will be given a Certificate of Participation within the scope of Sufi Education Programs by our Institute.
